Please note if you have particpated in one of our rides from 2004 onwards we will already have your details on file so there is no need to contact us.

We advise that you book early to avoid missing out on the available places as well as giving yourself plenty of time to train, but more importantly fundraise.
Please read the updated terms and conditions carefully. Once you have, please complete the booking form using block capitals, taking care to answer all fields and to sign and date it. Incomplete forms may not be accepted. Please post your completed form together with a deposit of £100 to secure your place (you can of course pay the full cost of the ride at this point should you wish to):

Once your place is confirmed, we will send you a welcome pack containing all you need to start training and fundraising. A few weeks before the event you will receive your Starter pack containing all final instructions and event information.

In order to participate in a Royal British Legion cycle ride, you must agree to the following conditions. Please read this page carefully it contains important information.
Legion’s bike rides you must pay to The Royal British Legion a non refundable/returnable deposit of £100to secure your place followed by a payment of the balance of entry of £350 no later than 6 weeks before the relevant ride.
You must also commit to raising a minimum amount of sponsorship money of £800 for Pedal to Paris. Sponsorship money can be paid to The Royal British Legion at any point prior to the ride, but must be received no later than 6 weeks after the last day of the event. Failure to meet the minimum sponsorship amount may affect our decision to allow you to do the ride again in subsequent years.
If you fail to submit the balance of the entry fee 6 weeks prior to the event you will foreit your place on the ride.
You must be aged 18 or over at the commencement of the ride to be eligible. Riders between the ages of 16 and 18 may take part in Pedal to Paris only if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Should you not be able to take up your place on the ride, all donations or sponsorship paid already to The Royal British Legion will not be refunded to you. Money may only be refunded directly to the donor on written request.
Unless a single room supplement is paid for at the time of entry, accommodation will be on a sharing basis. A rider will only be placed in a shared room with another person of the same sex. Should you wish to share with someone in particular, we will endeavour to meet your wishes but cannot guarantee this.
All funds raised in the name of The Royal British Legion must be paid as soon as is practical to the Legion. Cheques should be made payable to “The Royal British Legion” and sent to:

NB: Sponsorship monies raised must not be paid into local branch accounts. Should this occur, the monies will be transferred back to the fundraising department at Head Office.
All ferry timings, flights and itineraries are subject to change. The Royal British Legion cannot be held responsible for this.
All transfers to and from the appropriate start point for the ride you are signing up for are entirely the responsibility of the participiant.
All participants must be in possession of a valid passport at the time of travelling. Advice about these matters and related issues is given in good faith but The Royal British Legion accepts no responsibility for said advice.
Travel insurance is mandatory for all participants of The Royal British Legion’s Bike Rides. Neither Holiday nor Bike insurance are included in the entry fee. Participants are wholly responsible for arranging their own insurance. Travel insurance must cover the entire duration of the ride in respect of, but not limited to, medical expenses, death, injury, repatriation, cancellation and curtailment. Travel insurance companies must be informed of the type of activity in which you are participating. You should also obtain an EHIC Card which entitles the bearer to varying levels of treatment whilst in the EU. Further information can be obtained from the Post Office.
While we endeavour to follow the itinerary provided, there may be exceptional circumstances when this is not possible. We reserve the right to cancel or modify the itinerary as necessary. Due to the nature of the rides and the advance planning necessary, changes may have to be made and The Royal British Legion reserves the right to do so. Should a material change be necessary, The Royal British Legion will inform you as soon as is reasonably possible.
If you are over the age of 65 or if you have any ongoing medical condition that could be adversely affected by exercise, particularly a heart complaint, epilepsy or asthma, you must provide a medical certificate from your Doctor. By agreeing to the terms and conditions in this form, you are confirming that to the best of your knowledge your general state of health is good and you take full responsibility for your health and personal well being. It should be noted, regardless of the age of participant, that every care should be made to ensure you are fit enough to take on the challenge.
